I'm torn here.
I enjoyed reading The long way home. It was a great teenager/YA read. I liked the fact there was suspense, love, betrayal, friendship and stuff as well. But the paranormal bits left me behind somewhere on the way.

I mean I was so impatient to know the end of the story but I ended really not liking it. English isn't my mother's tong, so maybe it is the reason why I felt the end was unclear, but I just plain didn't get it. maybe the end is supposed to be open or something like that. Maybe I should try to read the book again or at lest the lasts parts. I tried just last 3 pages through. But I don't feel like it.

That said I very much liked the interaction between past and present. And how the logic was new about time traveling. Some characters might have deserved a more in depth picturing but the scenario was solid for the most part and tea pace of the story just right. I felt the flow of the writting was natural.

So read it if you are not too attached to some kind of endings like me. It as a nice free book with a good paranornal idea. And not too long with that.
