Rapeyness...! Definitely not a word. Doesn't seem to be much of a definition, either. Sigh. Just another reader confused by the "eroticism" category under which this extraordinary book is found.
Although it suffers from the editing necessary to bland it down to "erotic", nevertheless, this story remains a sensual delight. The author keeps his fresh sense of humor, throughout the many sexual encounters, while developing the many entertaining and thought provoking character traits.
A demon succubus exposed to love. A holy angel exposed to raw sex. Both compelled to obey the young and seemingly typical, Alex.
Friendships that develop and survive the assault of monsters and teenage libidos.
A test of good versus evil with generations of preparation that culminates in the very gates of hell opening in the unsuspecting environs of suburban Seattle. Go figure.
This is great stuff! This is why I serf through all the drivel. Once in a great while I find a shining jewel of composition capable of utterly delighting me. Bravo, Bash. Bravo!

With all due respect to serrana... you reviewed it the day you purchased it, and quoted a line from near the end of the book, so either you skipped ahead, or found it even more of a page-turner as I did. I must've missed the "rapey" scenes, except for arguably the women taking advantage of the young dorky guy. The "moralizing" was near the end, and I'd say that frankly it was full of plot, along with details of early chapters that become important with later chapters...I loved it, and was well worth the $3 I paid for it. Cant wait for the sequel!

Such a fun book! This novel blends action, comedy and sexy scenes into a great page-turner. The characters are enjoyable. The dialogue is great. The protagonist is an all-around good guy thrust into a whole new world of crazy, and he has the sense to stop and frequently question the good with the bad.
It's a great take on urban fantasy, complete with all-too-human angels, a demon who longs for something better and one seriously funny vampire death scene. The protagonists have a lot of depth to them.
This is a character-driven piece, rather than a plot-heavy book; it's all about how the characters adjust to one another instead of the usual "bad guy about to blow up the city, how do we stop him?" sort of thing. The plot threads all work on a slow burn and come together nicely. If you're turned off by sex scenes, this might not be the book for you, but otherwise I highly recommend this book!

Adolescent male wish-fulfillment fantasy in which a stereotypical "nice guy" who can't get laid gets a magical demon girlfriend who magically gets him laid. If that's your sort of thing, you'll probably think this is great; if you think a teenaged boy putting the whammy on girls who would never sleep with him before and magically getting into their pants is dubious consent at best and rape at worst, you'll find this as yucky as I did. Not least because the characters (and I suspect the author) seem to be aware that what they're doing is sketchy...and they spend a lot of time self-justifying. Here's a hint: if it's moral action, you don't have to have page after page of dialogue explaining WHY it's moral.
Although the amorality does bring us the great line, "Thinking with your cock hasn't gotten you into trouble once yet." Which is really kind of genius, in a deeply screwed-up way. If you like the idea of a story where a guy thinking with his dick gets rewarded, hey, this could be the novel for you.
The proofreading is basically good, which is why I gave it the third star. It's complete sentences, in English, and it's got screwing in it, and if you're into demons-made-them-do-it dubcon, you will feel like you got your three bucks worth. If you were looking for actual comic fantasy with an actual plot and no rapeyness, you will be unimpressed.

This is insanely superb book and I truly regret that I haven't start to read it earlier. Out of thousand books I've read, this is among the best books for me.
I love how the characters evolved throughout the story and they have strong character developments that the reader can truly care about them. I totally adored few of the characters, which makes me care about them as the story progress.
Also, there is a lot of stuff that are so interesting like opposite roles of demons and angels. I find it so intriguing and kept me hooking on the story. I really enjoy this book a lot and I like the humor because it gels with the story so well.
I really recommend this book highly.

After reading some terrible, pedestrian work on this site, I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The characters are unique and interesting, with compelling, witty, dialogue.
All the characters have a distinctive voice. I enjoyed the juxtaposition of the stereotypical angel/demon dynamic, especially the reversal of typical speech and syntax. I'm only half done but I've flown through this lengthy work. The only thing I don't like is that the author doesn't have more books published.

Reading the preview got me hooked. Came here out of curiosity and you had me hooked. I started swearing when the free trial ended and I had my card out of my wallet to buy the book before I had finished swearing. I can't wait to see what else comes into play during the story, but not having finished it yet, I already love the story and I have to second the review left by Mike Stone below. Whatever comes next, I will totally buy.
Humorous mix of sexy and funny. If I had to say anything as my favorite, it would have to be the perspective given to the two supernatural creatures bouncing their way through the main characters life.
Had to revise my review after reading this, still only halfway through: Page 144, 3/4th's of the way down. Alex's comment to Lydia about a much hotter blonde in his life and the following paragraph. I have not laughed this hard in years, as I nearly collapsed due to asphyxiation. READ THIS!

Extremely entertaining mix of humour, action, erotic and fantasy. The description says most of it, but I'd like to emphasize the fantastic humour of this book, the author has a special knack for writing dialogue between very vivid characters. I am especially a huge fan of Rachel, the foul-mouthed, bad ass angel!

I almost loved this novel from the first minute I found it on Literotica.
It started kinda funny and never lost it. But it also brought its share of action, erotic, emotion and interesting points of view.
The author takes us with him for great journey. He not only presents incredibly well developed characters but also a well developed storyline. When reading it I almost couldn’t quit for going to sleep. It’s addictive. And it’s breathtaking.
In the end there will be only one question everybody has to answer for himself: Who did you like more? The sexy, elegant, loving, inventive and caring Succubus or the erotic, impudent, true-to-her-word and longing Angel?
Whatever your answer to this question is, you’ll like the other one also… ;-)
Whatever comes next from this author: I’ll buy it immediately!

A true rarity; an erotic story that emotionally moves the reader as well - lots of sex and lots of tight plot - a scintillating combination! I am also sorry that the epilogue we saw on Literotica is not included, but that doesn't change my opinion of this work. This is first-rate literature, that happens to contain a lot of sexual scenes. The scene in the restaurant restroom with the Holocaust survivor is worth the purchase price by itself!
We can only hope for more works of such caliber from this writer.

I found this book off some thread on MeFi… I'm really glad I purchased it, it's a great read (and fun!).
There's a lot of sexual content, but this does not mean that the characters are any less appealing: something which is very rare.
Great job, Elliott! If possible, I would love to read a sequel. *fingers crossed*

Let's be honest... This novel is not Lonesome Dove. But that novel was the last one before this to bring a tear to my eye. And this one also brought a tent to my pants too! It's a page turner, and read as chapters has plenty of cliff hangersa, plus some amusing even chuckle-inducing moments. I admit I 1st read it in another format on another website, and of all the stories ever published there, it's the 1st worthy of publishing as a stand alone novel. Just finished rereading it on here.
Keep going after the 1st couple of chapters. You'll be rewarded. Grace is truly Amazing.

I've read thousands of books over many decades and don't remember enjoying any of them more than this one. I've just finished a second reading and it was still a lot of fun. Elliott "Bay" er... Kay or Bash has really created a terrific romp filled odyssey, tickling the funny bone, the emotions and the libido.
Great job! Your readers are in for a treat.
