Beautiful! Brought a tear to my eye. I love lgbt historical romance, and this short story was amazing! I just wish it was a tad longer.

I really like this short story and wish it could be expaned into a much longer narrative--perhaps a novel? I also wonder if it could become a portion of a chapter in that novel, perhaps entitled The Last Dance. On a more personal note, my grandfather fought in World War One- he died when I was 10 and I never got to question him about the war--so few people alive today who had any sort of a "personal touch" with soldiers who fought in that war to end all wars. Keep writing, I want to read more of your work

Beautiful story. A Sad but simple true tale, sweet even.
