Extended description

Emily begins to recover from her long captivity with Salazar, but a drastic setback threatens not only her, but the lives of the Equites Council. Chevalier struggles with Emily’s renewed friendship with the Encala, when they offer her a companion in a time of need.

Learn more about the relationships between the Old Ones and the original heku, the Ancients. Chevalier’s fierce hatred for the Ancients comes to play and pits the Old Ones against them once again. The Old Ones learn more about Emily and threats emerge as Emily discovers hidden Ancient abilities within herself.

Salazar’s hold tightens once again and they begin to wonder if Emily will ever be completely out of his grasp. Alexis begins to crave motherhood and Dain steps up as a formidable presence in Emily’s protection.

The Valle make a startling revelation, one that could bring Chevalier and Emily the peace they seek.

I have just finished this book and it was great. It saddens me to know I will be starting the last one next. I will be going on to read more books by this author but the Heku and Emikly will be forever remembered as special characters. I wish there could be more ebooks on them in the future.

I just got the last two books in the Heku series, finished book 8 and enjoyed it as much as I did the first seven. I read so much that I tend to re-read. These books stand up to re-reading very well. I know all series must end but I will enjoy these for a long time. Thank you TM.

That was absolutely by far the best series in books that I have ever read! Love everything about every character and every book. If ever you decide to make a movie or series let me know...it would possibly play out better than Twilight! Absolutely amazing!!!

Never a dull moment, never able to guess what comes next. The characters all play on each other strong and weak points. True love could never have been told better even in a fairy tale.

It has been a while since I have read this book and I was glad that you brought Emily back, as much as was possible, to some of her old self. Of course after all the trauma and drama, no one would be the same. I really enjoyed this series alot. I just think this book should have happened sooner. The kidnaping back and forth was too repetative. The books were very well written, this person Is an author. Thanx.

I have completed reading the series and thoroughly enjoyed it. I do not think another book is necessarily a good idea for Emily as there was definite closure in this book. However a different set of Heku or time etc might be interesting. The story line needs to be developed more if so to ensure repetition is kept to a minimum.

Sorry. I can't finish this book and won't be buying any more. After about book 5 it didn't seem that there were any significant plot expositions or character development.

Every single book just has Emily getting fought over and kidnapped. It doesn't seem like there's any other attempt to further the series beyond "who can kidnap Emily now". Sorry, I have too many other things to read.

sorry did not enjoy as much as books 1-7 actually was lucky to finish after reading 1st 100 pages even made me start to hate emily as she always tends to run away and acts like a misbehving teenager I guess the Elder was right in saying her mind wasn't ageing as well as her body

I also read this book off facebook last week and the book is amazing. This book is a great end to the series. It helps to wrap up open story lines and gives great information on Heku. We also get to see Emily evolve and see a little more about her background from a childhood friend turned Heku.

I read this book last week off of Facebook and immediately wanted to give it 10 stars! I was so excited when TM brought Emily and Chevalier back for another book. This one is full of new information on the ancient ones and old ones, giving a greater understanding of the heku. Emily goes through a deep depression that was so real my heart ached. I've been that down before and it made her all the more real.
