'How To Dump Your Boyfriend in the Men's room' is hilarious. The five short stories are a very quick read that had me laughing out loud. My favourite is 'The S-Word and the Lady Garden'. I will be reading the book again whenever I need a quick pick-me-up.

This is a collection of hysterical, laugh-out-loud short stories told as only Sibel can.
I really enjoyed these. Each story was screamingly funny with my significant other rolling his eyes at me each time I guffawed. 'Reading another Sibel are you? Say no more!' he said. My favourites were 'The S-Word and the Lady Garden', because it is especially relevant to me and 'Kismet' because it was both sweet and funny at the same time.
All in all yet another winner by Sibel who is fast becoming my favourite 'chick-lit' author. (As well as being the one who introduced me to the genre in the first place!)

From Lilac Wolf and Stuff (http://lilacwolfandstuff.blogspot.com/2011/09/how-to-dump-your-boyfriend-in-mens-room.html)
Cute cover! It's one of the reasons I enjoy chick-lit, the colorful and cartooney covers.
Now Sibel Hodge mentions in the Author's Note that these books are unrelated. Some are true and some aren't...that's the clue! I forgot because they are all written from the 1st person. I was 3 stories in and feeling really confused before I remembered. So - just letting you know up front, read each story as it's own separate work.
The stories themselves are all quick and fun. I think I loved the Yoga is Bad for you House story best. She is too impatient to do the more difficult poses and ends up blasting her foot through the wall. Turns out for the best as the living room is redecorated due to their inability to find matching paint during the repair. lol
Right now this e-book is 99cents, not a big investment. And it also has chapters from a few of her other novels as a special preview.

This is the second book by Sibel Hodge that I've read and while sitting at my computer reading How to Dump Your Boyfriend in the Men's Room I laughed nonstop.Sibel Hodge definitely knows her stuff when it comes to writing chick lit novels and short story collections.

Sibel calls this book a series of short stories. They aren't! How to Dump Your Boyfriend in the Men's Room is really a series of written out stand up comic routines. I was really happy that no one was home when I read this because there were moments that I was laughing out loud at "stories" which any woman, married, single or whatever you want to call your status, could relate to! There are about 4 short stories with the rest of the book being dedicated to describing Sibel's other works. Normally, once I am finished with a book, it is either donated, returned or deleted. This is def. one I am keeping because I know simply pulling it up and reading some of the stories will bring me out of any funk!!

As a dark crime fan I don't read much Chicklit, but I started reading this book of short stories by Chicklit author Sibel Hodge, and couldn't put it down. I finished it the same day I started reading it, and don't think I stopped laughing from beginning to end. Sibel includes quite a variety in this short book. there were stories about boyfriends, yoga, holidays, goats, smear tests and even a chocolate recipe. However, my favourite was 'The S-Word and the Lady Garden', I almost did myself a damage by laughing so much, and believe me, you don't ever want to find a tic tac in your Lady Garden.
This was a great set of stories by an author who was unknown to me, possibly because Chicklit has never grabbed me. But hey, I think this author may just possibly have widened my reading experience with 'Chick Lit and the F-Word', although I'll never be a fan of Jane Austen.

If you are looking for a great summer read, then pick up this book of hilarious short stories. I'm a big fan of Sibel Hodge, and if you have read any of her novels, you will definitely like this collection of short stories. Hodge knows how to write a good short story - one that reads like a full novel with feel-good characters and great plot lines - which is hard to emulate although other authors lately have tried. I enjoyed every story from beginning to end and look forward to reading her next book.
