He was one of God's soldiers along with Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), Philip Neri and Pope St. Pius Vwho went to battle against Luther, Calvin and all the betrayers of the Church; and became heroes of the Counter-Reformation.
