Very informative and thank you for offering the free advice. I've found my paying ebooks on pirate sites, but not on Amazon. Fingers crossed it won't happen, but thanks to you, I know what to do if it does. In Australia, when I purchase an ISBN for my paperbacks, I can also register them in Catalogue-in-Print with the National Library of Australia. It's a requirement I send in a paperback, but then it's protected under the Australian Copyright Act 1968. This means it's a criminal offence if my work is stolen and I notify the police. I emailed the NSW Police about the pirate sites offering my paying ebooks for free (which the paperbacks are registered) and was told to go to my closest police station to make a formal report.

Thank you for the handy information on a scary subject. I hope I will never have this problem, but just in case I ever find myself needing help, I will refer to this informative book. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you! Sadly, I found your book because I needed it to protect my own. Your advice and instructions were clear and to the point. I am also very grateful for the template. I'm only sorry that you had to take the time to write such a book.

I wish you'd written this earlier last year. My FREE Smashwords book was stolen and put on Amazon for sale in June of 2011. It took me a long time to get it taken down because Amazon didn't deign to reply to my emails. And then once they did act and removed it they sent my contact details to the thief.

The thief denied stealing my book and swore that his account had been hacked. He then stalked me via email for a couple of months before finally giving up.

Thank you for publishing this book, hopefully it will allow other authors to get Amazon to act more quickly than they did in my case.

Thank you for publishing this well-written and easy to follow book! A friend of yours recommended it when she saw on FB that 3 of my books had been stolen and were for sale on Amazon. I've used your letter template and am now waiting for an answer.
