As far as endings go, I loved the end of this. I, myself am an alcoholic and readily accept that fact. I never at any point deluded myself into believing otherwise, unlike Ethan. A character I found to be stronger than any others in this story. Sure, he turns to alcohol which i am far too familiar with but does that make him weak? His wife however, I had a hard time giving a damn about happened to her. A charming story.

There's a lot of story here. The pacing is a bit quick at times, but the characters are interesting. Would make an excellent TV soap opera series. I am looking forward to the next book by this author.
