This was a quick little story with interesting development.

I had envisioned the two of them on the run, trying to understand the new situation they were in, explore new possibilities as well as confront the deepening feelings between them. So, all in all, 3.5 star rating for originality and good characters but not enough adrenaline to make me readily move on to the sequel.

I was pleasantly surprised by the substance of this story; not the usual fluff and cliches used by most authors of this genre. Unique and captivating!

I just read this. It's so good. The plot is exceptional for a vampire story, paranormal romance with a good dose of hotness. The male-male relationship was hot, but felt more like it happened because of romantic reasons rather than purely physical ones, which of course made the sex even hotter. Nothing is hotter than love. Minor fixes to punctuation/grammar needed; this is still one of the better written short stories I've read in a while

I really enjoyed this story. I wanted to read it because I enjoy vampire stories but was pleasantly surprised by the twist near the end. I'm not going to lie, I wanted more when I finished it. I wanted to learn more about John's "gift" and really just what happens next. I really hope that Natasha Duncan-Drake decides to continue this story!

I was very surprised, most m/m shorts and even some of your fanfics tend to be PWPs; the plot twists at the end really showed this to be truly interesting and like Gillian, I'm hungering for more.

Wonderful! I found this story to be soulful and poignant. The characters drew me and I really want to read more of their story. The twist with John was quite the surprise and added a rich plot element to the whole thing. I'm definitely hoping for a sequel!

Tasha has created a very intriguing and unique (to my knowledge) world here, that leaves me curious for more. Both Michael and John proved to be very charismatic characters, leaving me just as curious for more about them as their world. It also doesn't hurt any that they have excellent chemistry with each other, in and out of the bedroom, as well. ;) I look forward to the next installment in the series!
