Short description

When Makenna Wilhelm discovers her best friend, Ty, is a werewolf, she fears he may be to blame for the death of one of their classmates. She sets out to prove his innocence, only to discover she was the intended prey. Now she must discover the truth before time runs out. When the sun goes down, and the full moon rises...the hunt begins.

Extended description

Makenna Wilhelm knows all of her friends have their quirks, but when Ty shows up naked in her yard one morning, she finds it beyond weird. Stranger still are the deep gashes across Ty’s chest and his sudden ability to hear and smell things that no human should.

During a moonlit night, Ty’s secret is revealed. He’s no longer the boy she’s crushed on forever, but rather a werewolf with one serious aversion for all things silver. Makenna is left wondering if he’s to blame for the recent death of one of their classmates, the apparent victim of an animal attack.

With the help of Melanie, the dead girl’s friend, they manage to shed doubt on Ty’s guilt only to discover Makenna was the intended prey. Even worse, she’s still a target.

In a race against the full moon, the trio struggles to find who murdered the young woman. However, without a way to cure Ty, they have no way of knowing who poses the greater threat: Ty or the unknown enemy.

Wow. This book totally surprised me! I read a good review before I started this one, but seeing for myself was definitely the best idea I've had in a while. It starts off with small hints, a hot boy, and a girl with a boy problem. Makenna is strong, smart, and scared, but she makes it work. She has a past that we learn about little by little, and things start to change for her - and not all in a good way. A girl is killed the night Mac is attacked by.. something. She's determined to find out. But could her friend (and maybe more?) Ty be behind the attack? Now she REALLY needs to know!

This novel has twists, turns, shocks, and surprises. There is a little romance and a lot of suspense. It keeps you guessing until the VERY end. And speaking of the end.. killer! I'm downright CRAVING the next one! The love story in this one is absolutely swoon-worthy, but you never know who to trust. I always had a nagging feeling, but I never guessed the extent of evil in this book. Just do yourself a favor - check this one out for yourself!

Definetely agree with the other reviewers, it is a great book filled with drama, romance, sexual tension, action and werewolfs. The story had some slow moments but a great climax and the author left the ending right in the middle. I really hope Makenna can fix her relationship with Ty and convince him about the secret she knows. Aaahhh!!! I can't wait for the next one!

Very good book. Suspense, mystery, romance. I loved the relationship of Ty and McKenna - their chemistry was totally believable. A relationship to rival that of Bella and Edward! I don't read a lot of YA fiction but would totally read another one by Jennifer Hendren. And the ending - Grrrr - better have the next one ready to go!

I downloaded this book and started reading it about two days ago. From the first page to the last page, I devoured it. I was hypnotized and lingered on each word that the author wrote. It was dramatic, romantic, sexy, electrifying, embarrassing and summoned a large amount of laughs that I didn’t know I had.

It’s a mixture of suspense, horror, and teenage drama. I would recommend this book to anyone who appreciated YA fiction. Sink your teeth into this and you’ll never turn back.
