What do your fans mean to you?
Our fans are everything. We hold a "mini con" each year at a different SF convention somewhere so that we can reach them and they can reach us.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
We are blessed to have fanatical fans who seek us out and who engage in voluminous word of mouth. We love them. You can't buy that sort of thing.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The answer to that is constantly changing. The Ring of Fire universe has some ten million words in print as of early autumn 2017.
Who are your favorite authors?
The 1632 / Ring of Fire universe has published stories by over 130 authors from Hugo and Nebula winners to authors whose first professionally published work was with us. Asking that is like asking a parent for their favorite child.
How do you approach cover design?
That's changing. We're actively searching for cover artists who can work with us in this unique alternate history setting.
