Interview with Rafael Martinez

When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I spend time watching movies, listening to music, cooking, catching up with friends or family and traveling.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I search for the titles or things that I want to read.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, it was more than 10 years ago. It was a soap opera, and honestly I do not know where that is at.
What is your writing process?
I take time developing ideas. I brainstorm for a while, take notes as I go. After that extensive task I start writing in paper, until I am not finish correcting and proofreading I do not bother to type it on the computer.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I do not remember that well, but most things I read have great impacts on my life. That is why I read to keep up with knowledge and experiences from others.
How do you approach cover design?
This is a hard task, I really do not pictures, so I go over more than 50 pictures before deciding if I want a pic or just the name on the cover.
What do you read for pleasure?
I really read for pleasure cooking books.
Describe your desk
I have a small, yet big desk, in which I have papers, other books, folders, pen and pencils. I also have the computer and no other devices on my desk.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing back in 2013, but I have always had that thing for writing!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
My greatest joy of writing is that I get to give few things to people to help them change or become better.
What do your fans mean to you?
The world, without them I would not be here. The are the best part of this process.
