Interview with Sirit Hanc

Published 2013-11-09.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Dante's Inferno, Life of Pi, Tortilla Flat, World of Warcraft Books, The Outsiders, The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross, The Lost Book of Enki. All of them because they gave me emotional triggers. I fell in love with the Universes, settings, stories, characters. I felt like I could be in the book/story myself. I am a fan of things I can meld my conscious with and really empathize with everything in the piece of writing before my eyes. Of course there are more books, but I have not been a big reader of books myself so I don't want to come across as a aficionado of great literature. I read books that I see myself in, that's where my love for these books come from. These books have been read throughout my life. I remember the emotional reactions, not necessarily the book themselves anymore. I would definitely read all these books again however.
Describe your desk
My bed and my fathers iPad because that is what I have right now. :) I'm grateful for the opportunity to even publish my own writing so others can experience my mind.
What is your story, and how has it influenced your writing?
I grew up kinda like the story of Buddha, I was basically a Prince. I had everything I ever wanted and never was grateful. Eventually I found out many truths of this world and I gave up everything and sat by myself for a long time discovering who I am and what I need to do to feel like this life is worth living.
When did you first start writing?
When I was in High School. Specifically in 11th and 12th grade is when I realized the power of words. I stopped writing after High School and became interested in just chilling and being happy. I just recently started writing a series called "Existence" and a book in this series called "Through Hell to Heaven on Earth".
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story behind the book I am currently writing is a culmination of all the wisdom I have gained throughout my life. In my time spent alone I transcended much of the physical ways of living and began living a spiritual life. Giving to others, doing my best for all things. This book I am writing now will be my own story slammed into one epic story so people can empathize with me that we are all more than mere Earthlings. :)
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I am writing to gain funds to make a difference in the world. To spread the message of love and unity. To bring together the people who wish to see this world a better place. I do not do this for any personal pleasures other than what the Universe provides me with.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I get to pour my consciousness into words that humans may relate to. Share my mind so others may feel the ability to do the same.
What are you working on next?
During this writing process of my book "Through Hell to Heaven on Earth" I will be starting an adventure blog. In which I will be traveling around wherever my heart takes me, helping people. Teaching people about holistic health and symbiotic living, and much more. :)
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
True Love, a fire inside of me which even the darkest of my thoughts cannot put out. A feeling which is a state of being, not a person, a place, a event, a time, a thing, etc... To show humans this feeling can be created within all of them.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Meditation. Video Games. I'm broke right now so sometimes I heal peoples chakras and auras by walking around. Even if they do not know I am doing so.
What is your writing process?
Preferably smoke weed, connect with my higher dimensional self, and just start channeling ideas onto paper. You know, the normal thing to do :)
