Interview with Albert Hammoud

Published 2016-06-04.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
What I love most about telling stories is captivating the readers attention and engaging the audience. I love to see my audience excited and laugh when reading my material. I absolutely love entertaining kids and building their imagination like my idols did for me growing up.
What do your fans mean to you?
If I can gift one person a smile at a time, I am happy. Multiply that by a few million people and I'm the happiest writer in the world. I wouldn't have the inspiration to create anything without you reading these words. In my opinion, my fans are the stars that twinkle in my sky. I could not be more grateful without each and every one.
How many stories have you written? Which is your favourite?
That’s a good question. I have written a few dozen poems and short stories, I would have to go back and count them. You can find some of my poetry on my Facebook page called Philosophical Poetry. However, my favourite would have to be “Little Ty & the Pirate Monster”. Seeing my son’s image as a character in this story really brings this creation to life.
What are you working on next?
I am working on the second story of the Little Ty series. I hope to have 3 children's books completed with illustrations to share by September. I want to share my stories with French and Spanish fans around the world. My favorite graphic illustrator Fernando is from Argentina. The more I inspire him to illustrate my words, the more entertained the fans will be around the world. Our work is felt from our hearts.

2. "Little Ty goes to the Zoo" ebook
3. "Little Ty & the Pirate Monster, In the Light" ebook
What do your family and friends think of your writing?
I love my family and my friends are very supportive. My family thinks I found my passion. My friends are proud of my accomplishments and already know me as a successful businessman. My family loves to share my stories with their friends, co-workers, and students. They are proud to talk about me and that makes me feel humble and grateful. My son looks up to me with pride. Ty is naturally curious and asks many questions about what I write about. Explaining to a 4-year-old boy is fun and he inspires me to write more of what's to come in the Little Ty series.
