Interview with Meg Harding

What is your e-reading device of choice?
A kindle.
When did you first start writing?
I've been writing since I was a kid. I was probably in and around 10 years old when I really got into writing.
What's the story behind your latest book?
Well, my latest book is actually a little thing called 'Catching Light' and I absolutely love it. I'm very proud of it. It's about a writer, suffering from writer's block, which I myself find happening far too frequently. His partner is upset by the effect this is having on him and so he proposes a vacation, and what follows is pure fluff. It's a feel good read.
What are you working on next?
I'm working on several projects, but First for Everything is going to be four parts, so I'm working on the second part now. I'm also working on a lesbian novella, which will have sex in it, but will be more along the lines of an actual story.
Who are your favorite authors?
Tolkein, Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman, Gena Showalter, Sherrilyn Kenyon, just to name a few.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Mostly reading and watching TV/Films. I'm also a student so that takes up a good chunk of time.
What do you read for pleasure?
I mostly read fanfiction, but I also tend to read romances and fantasy. I'm currently working my way through Doyle's Sherlock Holmes.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Honestly, a lack of patience, and a desire to be able to put out smaller stories that don't really fit the bill for most publishers.
