Interview with Michelle Browne

Published 2014-04-19.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Me "real" awaking came in SW Florida after being invited to attend a swinging seminar in a private home by a close friend who had herself, discovered the swinging Lifestyle. I had grown up in a mid-western state, heavy on religion and "should's and should not's" Years of living, and poor choice for a first marriage had left me somewhat of a skeptic with regard to the "proper life for a lady" I was a lady, and I knew it, but exchanging sexual partners with my friends seemed far out-too far out, until I actually was asked to join others like me in this loving activity. I am now absolutely convinced the Lifestyle is the way humans were meant to live.
When did you first start writing?
I wrote newsletters for some of the organizations I belonged to, graduating to articles for magazines in my field, then technical papers and manuals, how-to books, collections of stories, memoirs and finally fiction. All fiction is based on facts of course, yours or others. Fiction is a window to what is or what might be.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I have become almost a missionary promoting the lifestyle, simply because I believe it solves many of the world's men/women relationship problems. It is an escape valve, a picture book, a trip to a foreign land, a new hobby, a way to make new real friends.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
My greatest joy in writing is simply- the writing. I would rather sit and write than almost any other activity-other than good sex of course.
