Interview with Nadia H Foley

What motivated you to become an indie author?
I have a story that I want to tell you all. I want to tell it my way, in my time, with my voice. I don't want to be constrained by publishers or editors. I don't want to stress about word count or deadlines. A person's imagination is beautiful. And everyone should be able to express it however they want to.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Creating the characters is my favorite part. They come alive in my head. I think of them as if they were my friends.
What do your fans mean to you?
I treasure each and ever person that has ever or will ever read my stories. Indie writers can only succeed by the power of their fans.
What are you working on next?
I am writing Book Two of The Parallel series. It is going to be a novella called The Cruel Line. Book One, Cross The Line, was a bit of a back story. There is a third novella, The Thin Line. They will all come together in what I believe will be epic fashion in "Breaking Planes, The Parallel Novel"
What is your writing process?
I wing it! Until I figure out exactly what is going on inside my head. Then I research like crazy. My husband has concerns with some of my Web searches... Like "what is the most effective transdermal plant poison?"
How do you approach cover design?
I collaborate with my talented photographer/cover artist/photo shop genius!
Describe your desk
I have a desktop computer hooked up to a 60" TV, but it crashes a lot. So I usually sit on your couch with my 7" tablet and keyboard, my iPad for research, and my pink notebook. I don't have a desk yet.
