Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
YES It was a short story about me and I was a princess with a dragon and a flying unicorn. LOL I was like 6 or 7.
What is your writing process?
I always do my character analysis first. I try to bring out as much info about them as possible. Then when I have their personalities in place. I let them tell me their story.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Wow besides 'See Jane Run" uhm I can't tell you that one but I do remember the first story to grab my attention. It was the Polar Express. My Library Teacher in third grade read it to us. I mean I had my favorite Dr. Suess Books. But Polar Express was longer and came alive for me. I loved that story every since.
How do you approach cover design?
My sister does it for me she is an Awesome artist. And can use the hell out of photoshop.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
OMG Really. That is an unfair question. I have so many favorites. So I will break these down into series and favorites by Authors. 5. The Sea Swept Series By Nora Roberts and The Morrigana's Cross Series. 4. Dark Hunter Series By Sherrilyn Kenyon 3. Ghost Walkers series, Drake Sisters Series, Dark Series By Christine Feehan 2. The legend of the Neteru A Vampire Huntress Legend By L A Banks. and my Favorite book of all time is The Bluest Eyes by Toni Morrison.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My android. It is my best friend But I prefer Hardcovers or Paperbacks. I love the way they fill in my hand.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I'm still finding that out. I will revisit this question when I do. Revisited Answer. So far word of mouth with Business Cards and my website.
Describe your desk
My desk is anywhere I can be comfortable and write. LOL
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story is About Shoes and Sex really easy. But my Novel how ever is about a young Lady named Shantanique Parks who has 10 days of an emotional roller-coaster ride. And After the dust settles she needs to make a decision about her life.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
It was my destiny, and a very persuasive family.
What do your fans mean to you?
The Mean EVERYTHING to me. They are the water for my roots and the shears that prune me. Without them I will forever be a Garage Band
What are you working on next?
Currently I am working on the Sequel to my novel 'Worth It' it's entitled Worth It Too.

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Life Love and Family. With these I can be entertained, filled with pain, have incredible joy and experience great sadness. Yet each day is never boring and pours with new adventure. (at least during the summer Laugh Out Loud)
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
With my Family and Friends. Enjoying their company Soaking up their love. Plus I read, I read a lot.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I look up topics I like to read and free ebooks to find new authors.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up and Detroit Michigan. Home of the Pistons, Tigers, The Lions and the Best Coney Islands Restaurants ever. Living here is nothing but one big old story book. There are so many tales to tell. From romance to hardships to Automotive Thrillers to murder mysteries. You can find all this waiting to be told story plots all over the city. I just so happen to want to find them all and Tell them. I am influenced to give the stories and the characters a positive and funny voice. One that is as unique and as hopeful as the city itself.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords is helping to get my brand who I am as a novelist out to others. They are providing me the platform I'm just still learning how to do it.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Seeing the completed story and having the characters in my head say thank you.
What do you find most challenging about being an Indie Author?
Advertising, Marketing and Personal Sales. I want to have a budget just for that. Yet investing your own money is hard when you have bills and a life. I'm hoping to be able to invest more into Precious Tea Novels and move my books.
