Interview with Jo Wilmer

Who are your favorite authors?
When seeking a woman who I felt followed the will of God for her life, I could not help but be drawn to the writings of Corrie ten Boom. The physical, emotional, and most of all, spiritual strength she conveys through her life is empowering. Certainly none of us desire to walk through the valley of darkness, but we all will need to walk steadfastly and remain focused on His will, when we do encounter the valley.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
As the soft amber glow of the sunrise filters through my white lace curtains, I cannot help but praise Him for blessing me with a new day. This gift of a new day, is given to me for my enjoyment and for His service. This is what inspires me to face the world each day as a wife, mother, grandmother, employee and sister in Christ. Only what I do each day for Him will last. I pray that each day I will be able to bring His light to others.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
After Christ, comes my husband. We are two peas in the same pod. Sharing the love of the Lord has brought us through over 35 years of marriage filled with joyful mountain top experiences as well as tearful valley journeys. Through it all, we have clung to each other and to Him. My time with my husband is so precious. We share a love of the mountains, boating, taking short car trips discovering out of the way places, and watching old westerns!
