How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I am so grateful to Smashword for allowing me to publish my manuscript. I am very pleased that my ebook has a worldwide audience. I hope that my writings will inspire others who don't have access to traditional publishers to write.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The gift of life is a blessing and seeing my love ones alive is a fantastic feeling.
Describe your desk
I don't have a desk. I type my work on a laptop. I like to be mobile.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I am an offspring of the second generation of Caribbean migrant workers and I grew up in a culturally diverse area of Aston in the city of Birmingham. The social inequalities of Aston and my religious upbringing helped to shape my writing.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
What I enjoy most of all in my writing is the creativity of inventing characters and controlling the project from beginning to the end.
What are you working on next?
I am working on part two of 'Your Change is Coming' and short stories.
Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite authors are:Tony Compolo, Bob Gass, Ed Cole and TD.Jake.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I work full time in the housing department of the public sector.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The main story of my ebook is that we can all triumphant over adversaries if we don't quit.
