What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My children inspire me to get out of bed each and every day. Everything that I do is for my kids.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I’m not writing, I am either designing earrings for my custom earring line, doing something with my kids, or, working on some of my client’s projects. I like to stay busy, but I also like to have fun as well.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I follow a lot of authors on social media, and that is often how I hear about new books.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, when I was eight years old. I actually entered a writing contest sponsored by Ebony/Jet magazine.
What is your writing process?

Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story I actually read that had an impact on me, and creeped me out, was a story from the Bible about Lot’s wife, when she turned into a pillar of salt. It was an illustrated bible, so to read the story of what happened to her, and then see the picture, really stuck with me.
How do you approach cover design?
I look at what the top authors are doing and either send those ideas to my cover designer.
