Introduction
Hello. I’m Hannah Howe, the author of the Sam Smith Mystery Series, the Ann’s War Mystery Series, Eve’s War, Heroines of SOE, Saving Grace and The Olive Tree, A Spanish Civil War Saga. I also contribute to Mom’s Favorite Reads, The Golden Age of Hollywood Magazine and the Seaside News. My latest project is Tula, book one in the Golden Age of Hollywood series. My books frequently reach number one on the Amazon genre charts, and Saving Grace was an official Amazon #1 bestseller in Australia. I intend to use this feed to keep you updated about my writing and research. I hope you will enjoy the content.
Current Projects
At the moment, I’m researching and writing Tula, book one in my new Golden Age of Hollywood series. I’m also involved in a new magazine, The Golden Age of Hollywood. We are hoping to make the magazine free to Smashwords readers. I wish I could show you the cover here, but unfortunately this feed does not support pictures. You can learn more about the magazine here https://the-golden-age-of-hollywood.com
Tula
Tula is now available to pre-order from Smashwords for the special price of $0.99. The book carries an ‘adult’ tag because it contains mature themes. The exact word count is to be determined, with a current estimate of 75,000 words. Full details here https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/1176360
The Golden Age of Hollywood
An interesting fact I discovered about silent movie star Gloria Swanson. Gloria testified on John Lennon’s behalf at his immigration hearing in New York City, which led to Lennon becoming a permanent US resident. My pen portrait of Gloria Swanson will appear in The Golden Age of Hollywood magazine.
The Greatest
On Twitter recently I ran a poll featuring sixty-four classic movies from the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. A representative of each decade made it to the final, then my followers voted for The Greatest Movie of the Golden Age of Hollywood. Here are the four finalists: To Kill a Mockingbird, North by Northwest, Casablanca, All Quiet on the Western Front. To Kill a Mockingbird won.
The Olive Tree
This week, I’m completing Flowers, book five in my Olive Tree, Spanish Civil War Saga. Book one in the series, Roots, is available from Smashwords, free. As for genre, I’d classify The Olive Tree as war/medical/romance. The main character is a nurse who tends the volunteers of the International Brigades. If you are interested in this type of story please check out Roots. As I mentioned above, it is available free.
Free Books
All my series starters are free. Sam’s Song, a psychological mystery (book one of nineteen in an ongoing series), Betrayal, an Ann’s War mystery (book one of five), The Olive Tree: Roots, (book one in my five-book Spanish Civil War Saga), and Operation Zigzag (book one of twelve in my Eve’s War Heroines of SOE series). All the other books in these series are priced at $0.99. Full details on my Smashwords product page.
