What do your fans mean to you?
My fans mean everything to me. I'm a huge fangirl, so I know what it is like to be a fan. I know that without fans a persons body of work means nothing. My fans are my everything
What are you working on next?
At the moment I'm working on a Novel that is currently called Blind Sight. It's about a Hawaiian man who is an action movie hero/stuntman, when he is injured and his best friend is killed in an on set accident he retreats to the islands to recover. His 'people' hire a housekeeper/nurse for him. She has a secret, a secret that could kill them both.
Who are your favorite authors?
Elle Kennedy, Diana Gabaldon, Jean M Auel, J R R Tolkien just off the top of my head, I love reading and have a million favourites
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I love to create so at the moment I'm learning how to spin wool, it's wonderful to take the raw fleece in your hand and be able to create something that you can knit or crotchet with. It's a bit like when you're creating a character really...
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I tend to follow the links when I find a book I like and there are suggested links I will follow them and if I like the synopsis I'll purchase the book
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Not really, though I do remember writing fanfic when I was about twelve and hiding the sheets of writing in my LP's (that's big black vinyl CD's to those of you who weren't around then) so that my mother wouldn't find them. Fanfic was where I found my feet writing.
What is your writing process?
I like to find the characters first. Once I have a character his/her actions will find their story for me, whether it's their past or their present, they will always have a story for me to tell.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I don't remember the exact story but I remember reading the Hardy Boys series when I was young and all the time wanting to be able to create the mysteries that the brothers were solving.
How do you approach cover design?
Cover design is the bane of my existance, I'm not very arty and I can never find the 'right' couple for the image I have in my head of my characters. Sometimes I think I should design the cover first and then my characters will look like their image, but for me it doesn't work that way.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Outlander - because have quite the thing for Scotland
Lord of the Rings - because I would love to be able to create a whole universe that is so loved
Clan of the Cave Bear - Because prehistory fascinates me.
Miss Emaline and the Archangel - because I love the universe that Rachel Lee has developed and the fact that Conard County now has a next Generation
Granite Man - Elizabeth Lowell has such a way with making hard men so soft without denying their masculinity, I with I could do the same
