I try to learn as lot as I can, so all the ways to reach that goal are welcome and they are many.

I select a theme or several for which I have some interest or a questioning. I find the title of the book, Later, I am asking myself if I own enough knowledge to approach this theme (s), if not, I try to read and learn a bit about it, not to go to deep in detail, but just to have enough material to exploit. For the second book (Le très grand nettoyage), it was a mutual creative discussion. It gave this strange cover with white bathroom tiles with prints of Snow Leopard. That expresses the subjective control by the men of the nature, that finally always take back its rights.
