Interview with Stewart Edwards

Published 2013-09-05.
When did you first start writing?
A long long time ago....
Why so many different types of books?
I enjoy writing, and throughout my books are hints and tips to individual growth and human evolution. Whether the non fiction philosophy, my novels or my erotica, which contains fun combined with life lessons concealed away. Philosophy is a bit dry for most people, so I thought that I would coat it in a bit of fun and fantasy to enable a wider audience.
What are you working on just now?
I am trying to write a thriller and have been experimenting with political and horror, though at the moment it seems like horror is going to win the day. It should enable me to work on human emotions while incorporating a lot of life challenges that we all face in day to day life, set against a gory backdrop based on what really does happen in our world.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
In a broken home on a Scottish council estate. It has enabled me to see life from different perspectives and made me appreciate how we can work ourselves to a better life given time, effort and a bit of goodwill from others.
