What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I would say that it is more of a compulsion than a joy, but having a completed work exist makes me puff my chest out a little more than your average Starbucks consumer.
What do your fans mean to you?
My collection of Chinese fans keep me cool. Or, are they Japanese fans? Jeez, maybe they're made in Indonesia but [message truncated because this joke is getting old]
What are you working on next?
More books. I'd like to have an arsenal of written word that encompasses how I see life.
Who are your favorite authors?
Chekhov and his short stories.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The threat of waking at noon and realizing that I have no drug addiction to give me that damn excuse.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I'm a musician, so between eating at Publix and playing music, it leaves room for little else (thankfully).
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
By pure chance. I believe it is all related to happenstance and it is beyond my control.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yep. The subject matter was racy even for a ten year old.
What is your writing process?
Splatter and refine.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Not particularly. Does it have to be a story I read, a story read to me, or just a plot being drunkenly babbled to me by some family member?
How do you approach cover design?
I outsource it to my talented friends.
