Carol Ratchenski

Biography

Carol Kapaun Ratchenski is a poet, fiction writer and mental health counselor in Fargo, North Dakota. She is a student of human nature, creativity and yoga. This, her first novel, is deeply informed by her work with families, her being part of a family and her respect for community of all dimension and form. She believes that all love and identity and ultimately good in the world comes from being part of each other's lives. She is a mom, a sister, an aunt, a partner, a Unitarian and a writer. Her work has appeared in: Gypsy Cab, Lake Region Review, North Country, North Dakota Quarterly, North Dakota State University NDSU Magazine, Red Weather and others as well as in the anthologies The Cancer Poetry Project and Resurrecting Grace: Remembering Catholic Childhoods.
