A Quizzical Verse: Limericks Comic and Not
on Oct. 07, 2010
The cover of this book did not disappoint! I was hoping for real skill & a fun sense of humor and boy did I find it! Usually I look at limericks with one eye closed lest the author go places like “Nantucket” ;-) but this book I read with both eyes wide open (except for when I was blinking laugh tears out of my eyes ;-)!
I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to others in a heartbeat!
I found the history limericks a bit above my everyday knowledge but still enjoyable for the skill of the author!
Shorts: Terse Verse
on Oct. 07, 2010
I can’t say it better than the author presented about his writing when he wrote “saying things in a way that might make my thoughts more interesting for readers and thereby invite them back into the books I talked about” – He succeeds! This little book caught me by surprise, first the fact that it was FREE! YAY! But the content was enjoyable and was a lesson in and of itself in several forms of SHORT poetry (that is very humorous too)!
Another winner by a winning author!
Thank you sir!
