Peter Dutcher

Born in 1965, Pete Dutcher learned to read by the age of five and wrote his first short story at age seven. As a child he always knew he would be an author, and practiced his craft frequently throughout his life. In his early twenties, he received his first professional assignment...a fill in issue of Assassinette for Pocket Change Comics. Impressed, the publisher offered Pete the opportunity to work on issue five of their Holy Knight series, and then gave him free reign to write an original, two-part story that spanned issues six and seven. The two books were the best selling issues of the series.

The birth of his first child, who was unexpectedly born with a birth defect that resulted in 30-plus surgeries over the years, forced Pete Dutcher to set aside his writing career for several years, until in 1999 he became co-founder and publisher of CyberComix.Com, the first online company to publish interactive illustrated stories.

His original stories "The Penalty" and "Gothtropolis" received special recognition by the St. Petersburg Times Pasco Edition in 1999 by reporter Chase Squires (Jan. 10th).

Pete Dutcher then started his own successful advertisement agency, which he operated until 2010. That was when his true writing career found its roots. In the process of writing VICTORIOUS and THE TWICE BORN KING eight part serial, Pete honed his skills and increased his education and experience.

A STORM OF DRAGONS (release date: April 23, 2016) is his first printed novel. On July 2, 2016, his second printed novel, THE WILES OF DEVILS will be released.

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My writing. I literally work eight to seventeen hours per day, six to seven days per week. Why do I push myself like this? Because writing is what I love to do. In my younger years, when asked what I would do when I retired, my answer was that I would write. That's what I do.
