A new Canadian author, R.E. Donald has penned an interesting read situated in BC and Washington State. The local references offered a sense of familiarity which drew me in. Rayne Hunter quickly developed into both a strong force to be reckoned with along with and an emotionally fragile character. I enjoyed the characters as their flaws surfaced and the story kept my interest high as it motored me along, the plot unravelling.

Another enjoyable mystery by R.E. Donald which explores themes of fragile relationships contrasted by the violent world of drugs and murder. The story moved me forward at a good pace and kept me wanting more! I found the glimpse into the world of cross border police jurisdictions and the trucking industry fascinating.
