Susan Brown

I'm an art teacher and school counselor who lives in northern Maine. I am also a freelance graphic artist and Web site designer, and enjoy painting and drawing. The research for my book was extensive, involving visits to Scotland and years of collecting notes, songs, interviews, books, and videos. For several years I was a tenor drummer in a bagpipe band. Currently I belong to two Living History groups that reenact military life in the eighteenth century.
