This is an incredible and vivid story that does indeed mirror our lives today, with a crashing economy, increasingly over-reaching government, and each person's struggle to survive when life seems dire. The characters are forced to learn to depend on themselves and each other to make it through the daily trails as well as battles, escapes and treachery! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it to everyone that loves any of the following fiction categories: Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Drama. There is something for everyone in this book...
