Sherrill Nilson

Biography

Sherrill Nilson has done almost everything she (never even) dreamed of growing up in Oklahoma, the oldest of seven siblings. She has been a cattle rancher, a horse breeder, a student, a teacher, and a mother of three.  She has a late-in-life Ph.D. in East-West Psychology and has lived all over the beautiful Southwestern US. Her studies opened her to the world of ancient myths and modern fantasy, and the rigor of writing so many papers and her dissertation suited her. So she took a leap of faith and embarked on writing Karda. At first she thought it would be just one book, but she quickly realized the story wasn’t finished with this first volume, and the Adalta Series was born.
Sherrill now lives and writes in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Back where she started her first novel. At the age of eleven. It was about a girl and wild horses. She was eleven. What else could it have been about?
This is what she wants on her tombstone:
She died of a terminal hot flash at 105
She took her fan
She drove a shiny black Aston Martin
