In this book the author has succeeded in conveying believable characters in a modern story featuring actual events, together with a credible explanation for the way things turned out. After reading this book I felt that I was able to question a great many things that I had previously been taught as given "scientific truths". The author introduces us to science that has been hidden by the 'establishment'. Science that means we can take nothing at face value. The story takes the reader on a journey of scientific discovery, espionage and exploration around the world. A good page turner with a great many surprises - think Dan Brown meets Ian Fleming with a healthy dose of Sir Patrick Moore... 5 stars
