Husband and wife, Peter May and Janice Hally are screenwriters and authors.

Peter May is the author of several standalone novels and three series: the award-winning China Thrillers, featuring Beijing detective Li Yan and American forensic pathologist Margaret Campbell; the critically-acclaimed Enzo Files, featuring Scottish forensic scientist Enzo MacLeod, which is set in France; and the best-selling Lewis Trilogy, set in the Outer Hebrides, the first of which - The Blackhouse - has just been published in the UK after enormous European success.

Janice Hally is a Scottish playwright and screenwriter with more than 650 credits for drama series, single screenplays and children's drama. 
She has also written fiction and non-fiction books. Her latest book, published June 2010 by French publisher Hachette, is Distant Echo, a psychological mystery. The second in the series will be published in September 2011.
Current commissions also include the big screen adaptation of Peter May's The Killing Room for French film production company, the French Connection.

Peter May and Janice Hally are individually and in partnership responsible for more than 600 broadcast hours of ratings-topping, prime-time television drama in their native Scotland.

As writers in their own right, they are they recipients of international and national awards and nominations in the fields of playwriting, journalism, television and novels.
