The "Fabled Kingdom" has awoken, along with its famed queen. The queen is immediately interested in Celsia, but has doubts about her claims of lineage. She will only accept Celsia as her granddaughter if she is able to prove that she is a blood relation in a special test -- with frightful consequences if she fails.

With Celsia settling into her routine at Castle Roserock, she starts to probe into the history of the Pendraig royal family. As she begins to understand the complexity of the Pendraigs and the politics of the surrounding areas, a different picture emerges. Celsia may have made a crucial mistake, but she has the chance to redeem herself and the person on trial if she will become his champion, and slay a fearsome mountain troll. Accompanied by Quillon and Pylus, will she succeed at her quest?

Celsia returns to the city of Tandia to discover that emissaries from the kingdom of Summerstone have arrived - and they are rumored to have been sent by the 'White Queen.'
