God sent this letter to believers who had made a good beginning with God, but now due to false teachers, they were in danger of being led astray from the truth of God’s word. The reason for this is that God chose to show His working out of events by means of His Providence instead, which is the outworking of His Almightiness and Sovereignty in the everyday affairs on earth as unseen behind the scene! God begins by telling us all that He has done for believers in and through His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, from eternity past and on into eternity to come. Then God closes His letter by calling on believers to live in accordance with the truth He has just made known! A great journey of discovery!

God’s second letter to Timothy is important for at least three reasons. First, God states that the last days we are now in will be difficult. Secondly, God states that people will turn away from God’s truth to what is false during this time. And thirdly, this was the apostle Paul’s last letter that he wrote down for God, as he died under the terror reign of the Emperor Nero in Rome shortly after!

Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount is God’s directive to believers on how to live on earth as children of God. This sermon touches on all important aspects of God’s teachings, such as how to live under God’s continual blessing, how to avoid violence, marriage, divorce, forgiveness, being salt and light in the world, prayer, the cure for anxiety, the handling of wealth, and God’s way to Heaven!

This book deals with The Lord Jesus’ last twenty-four hours before His death at the cross, during which time He was preparing the apostles for when He would return to His Father in Heaven, as when He would be sending The Holy Spirit to indwell them, so that they might carry on the work that He had been doing on earth!

What is noteworthy about God’s First Letter To The Corinthians is that it touches on every major subject relating to the Christian life, such as marriage and divorce, communion, the roles of males and females in worship, spiritual gifts, the resurrection from the dead, the spiritual body, eternal judgment, the start of denominations, and most importantly, the nature of God!
