Travel writer and Near and Far Magazine editor, Isla Samms, drives through a blizzard to spend her vacation at Juniper Hills Equestrian Training and Conference Centre in the backwoods hills of Vernon, B.C. She is looking for a story, not a man, until she meets former rodeo cowboy turned reluctant host, J.T. Cooper. Looking into J.T.'s dark, broody eyes changes Isla's dreams -- maybe even forever.

Mellie Samms is on a surfing holiday in Santa Cruz, California. Sadly, nothing about this trip is going as planned. From lost luggage and car reservations, to wrinkled surf instructors, to the biggest problem of all - the unexpected company of her ex, Travis Rossi - Mellie's vacation is in for a bumpy ride. With her business partners on working holidays and an important client coming to town, someone had to stay to pitch their advertising services.
