Mary Alice Daniels was a Cherokee Indian princess kidnapped by the Shawnee of the Ohio territory when she was a young child. She had a hard life growing up and was scheduled to be eaten by the Shawnee before a while man, John Daniels, bought her. She settled on land given to her by the Shawnee chief, Cornsilk, in southern Ohio and settled down to raise a family.
Unfortunately for her, her grandson and five of his friends robbed an Indian grave and got 7 pounds of gold from it. She told them to put it back. They refused and she was visited by an ancient being who placed a curse on them. They were told how they would die - one year apart - on the anniversary of the desecration. Her grandson was the last man standing.
The prequel to The Curse of Indian Gold is titled: A Time to Care and tells the story of Mary Alice as she grew up, ran away from captivity, was recaptured and ultimately rescued by John Daniels. Read & Enjoy!
