Really enjoyed first book, Sentence of Marriage, and this second book, Mud and Gold. Have also read the third one - Settling the Account - and now reading Second Chance!! Great writing - I almost feel like I know the characters personally!

Great read, we'll written and was great to be able to take on holidays. Nice to read about early life in NZ, how women where the property of their husbands and how hard they worked. Would recommend this, now onto the 4th book about Daisy
