Interview with M. L. Newman

Published 2014-01-19.
Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite authors would be Charlaine Harris, S. C. Stephens, Tammara Webber, Shelly Crane, and Ann Charles.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I ever wrote was Glimmer of Hope. It was much shorter in the beginning but I'm glad that I never gave up on it.
How do you approach cover design?
I have a fantastic graphic designer who understands what I'm trying to get across. I'm usually so deeply impacted by the story that I'm too overwhelmed to come up with just one solid idea. He picks out the keywords that I use, the theme of the story and molds my ideas into amazing pieces of artwork. His graphic designs leave me speechless.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I love the writing process but the greatest joy is writing those two little words, "The End" at the bottom of the manuscript. It's a feeling like no other and I couldn't even begin to describe it as anything more than amazing.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I usually read what is recommended after a previous ebook. Sometimes I skim through different genres looking at covers and the description to see if it interests me.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My iPhone has the Kindle App and that is how I read 98% of my books however I do have the Kobo App after finding a story that I needed to read right away.
What are you working on next?
I'm in the process of finishing Hope Has A Glare, the sequel to Glimmer of Hope. I have quite a few novels planned for publishing and the decision hasn't been made on which story will be published after that one.
