Tamarah Mack

Biography

Tamarah Mack was born on July 13, 1984 and she is the oldest child of Ruby Mack,both currently residing in Jackson, Mississippi. Tamarah Mack grew up in a single-parent household in the downtown neighborhood known as “the north end.” Her mother was known to work two and three jobs to provide the best of life and education for her children. Tamarah began her writing career at the age of nine. Not only is she gifted in writing poems, she also writes plays, music and songs.

For the past 8 years, Tamarah has been employed in the field of Pharmacy. She started out as a cashier and advanced several levels to a Sr. Certified Pharmacy Technician. While maintaining her important position, she attended college full-time every semester. Tamarah’s education and achievements during her schooling is greatly acknowledged. Needless to say, she’s a 2004 graduate of Hinds Community College with an Associate Degree in Business and Microcomputer Technology. She also received honors for being a President Scholar and for maintaining the honor and high honor role consecutive semesters.

In May 2002, Tamarah graduated from Bailey Magnet High School where she took advanced placement courses and also was an advanced student in the health related program. In addition, during her senior year, she received the following awards:(1) highest GPA in the health-related program (2) winner of Miss National Honor Society (3) the recipient of a $1,000 Time Warner Scholarship (4) 2nd place for Miss Bailey Magnet and (5) MVP in volleyball. Tamarah also attended Rowan Middle School and Brown Elementary School located in Jackson, MS where she also received numerous academic and athletic awards.

Not only is Tamarah a great poet, she is also a mathematician and tutors math starting from the basics to the most advanced such as algebra, trigonometry, geometry, finite, etc. Tamarah likes to encourage others and she is also a prayer warrior.In her spare time she enjoys traveling, shopping, drawing and last but not least, surfing the internet to obtain beneficial knowledge.

Although “Inspirational Poems for the Storms” is her first poetry release, she plans to publish many more poems to inspire and encourage her readers.
