Adesoji A. Adesina

Biography

Adesoji Adesina is a 1980 chemical engineering graduate (1st class honours) from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He worked briefly with Shell before obtaining a PhD from the University of Waterloo, Canada (1986). He was a lecturer at the University of Port-Harcourt till 1989, however, spent most of his academic career at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia where he became a full professor of chemical engineering. He directed a major research group with international reputation in energy, wastewater treatment and environmental technologies and published extensively in the field. He is a Fellow of key professional bodies including, the Institution of Chemical Engineers (UK), Royal Australian Chemical Institute, Nigerian Academy of Engineering. He was the 2017 recipient of the Nigerian National Order of Merit (Engineering/Technology) – the highest national honours to distinguished Nigerian scholars conferred by the country’s President. He presently runs an engineering consultancy in the Los Angeles area, California. Prof. Adesina is an evangelical Christian and has an MDiv from the prestigious theological institution, Fuller Seminary, Pasadena, California.
