Mara Li (1987) has been writing from an early age. She is inspired by fairy tales, myths and sagas from all over the world. In 2016, her debut novel De Stem van de Zee was nominated for the Harland Awards Novel Award for best Dutch-language fantasy.
Winter is her writing season (summer never gets much of it). Tea and gingerbread cookies are her writing food, the attention of her cat can sometimes be an obstacle.
