2018 Indie B.R.A.G. Medallion Winner
Award-winning author, Chariss K. Walker, M.Msc., Reiki Master/Teacher, writes both fiction and nonfiction books with a metaphysical and spiritual component. Her fiction expresses a visionary/metaphysical message that illustrates growth in a character's consciousness while utilizing a paranormal aspect. Her nonfiction books share insight, hope, and inspiration.
Even though Chariss writes dark-fiction about insanely dark topics, such as sexual abuse, incest, pedophilia, sexual assault, and other inappropriate dinner conversation, there is always an essential question of the abstract nature that gives a reader increasing awareness and perception. All of her books are sold worldwide in eBook, paperback, and many are in large print. You can learn more about Chariss on her website.
She offers a free eBook #givingback because she prefers that you have a sample of her writing before you invest your time and effort (and money) into getting to know her writing style. Smashwords Interview

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
My joy comes through the inspiration of writing. It's also nice to see the book in print and hold it in my hands or see the eBook online and for sale. When I read one of my own published books, I know I was inspired when I wrote it. I often think, "This was inspiration!"
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle Paperwhite.

Smashwords book reviews by Chariss K. Walker

  • Learn the Secret Language of Dreams on Oct. 15, 2017

Great Stuff! Pamela Cummins’ Learning the Secret Language of Dreams book is an insightful guide to anyone desiring to understand and interpret their dreams. As a spiritual healer, I have interpreted my own dreams for many years and can truthfully say that her instructions are spot-on. The book offers support for both the novice and the experienced. Great stuff!
  • Forever Breathless (A Killer Among Us Thriller, Book 4) on May 06, 2018

This was a enticing thriller read with great "serial killer" action, smatterings of humor, sexual innuendo, the struggles of an author, and girlfriend comradery thrown in. Sometimes, it was simply too-too much for Zo-Zo or the reader to handle without getting whiplash. I enjoyed the author's overall and easy writing style as well as her wit. However, I found it difficult to believe the main character was fifty. Her antics were, at best, late teens or perhaps she was simply far too naive for her age. Still, all-in-all, it is one of the better Indie thrillers I've read lately so, if I could, I'd give it 4.5 stars. I recommend it to those who love serial killer/thriller/suspense novels.
