Smashwords Interview

What's the story behind your latest book?
I recently went through some major life changes of my own, which impacted me enormously. I suffered severe depression and thoughts of suicide. As a way of coping I started reading. Subjects such as psychology, philosophy, neurology, quantum physics and metaphysics fascinated me. It was like learning about a whole new perspective of life I never knew about. When I came out the other side of the depression I decided to write a book about what I had learnt. I wanted to share some of the new perspectives that had helped in my recovery.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Writing and publishing became a whole new creative journey for me, as "The Well" is my first published book. I like being an independent author as I maintain all control over how I wanted the book to be published. Thanks to sites like Smashwords, the process has been very fulfilling.
