Dr Diana Tahir is a passionate breastfeeding advocate. She is in her fourth year of training to become a paediatrician and encounters many breastfeeding concerns on the job. Being a working mother of three, she had to pump through 28-hour shifts for all of her children and successfully tandem-fed her second and third children (now five and two - the youngest still breastfeeding). She also had to exclusively pump for her first child who had a cleft lip and palate. Breastfeeding may seem like hard work, but it is the best kind of hard work and completely worthwhile!
This problem-based guide was written to help new mothers find solutions to their common breastfeeding concerns especially in the first few weeks after delivery. Written in succinct, clear language and containing step-by-step explanations, it is written by a third-time mom (paediatrician in training) who has exclusively pumped one child, and tandem-fed the other two!
