Eileen Gleeson Peters
Eileen Gleeson Peters was born and raised in Lisboney, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, Ireland and now lives at ‘The Sanctuary’, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. She was born into the family of Michael Gleeson and Anna May Foley and is the second child, raised with five brothers: Milo, Tom, Tim, Anthony and Patrick. She grew up on a secluded farm not far from Nenagh.
Her father died tragically when she was eight. Her youngest brother died when she was eight and a half, killed by a drunk driver. "I was in charge of him at the time."
She had a near death experience.
She went to boarding school, for a number of years at Presentation Convent, Cashel, Co. Tipperary. It was run by nuns. She then went to University College Cork, where she studied Psychology and Logic.
"I married a local lad. We have three beautiful daughters and three lovely granddaughters. We parted and went our separate ways. I was diagnosed with manic depression in 1992. I am now managing my own life. I have joined various groups. I volunteered in Áras Folláin, a drop-in peer support centre in Tyone, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. I am in regular contact with my children and grandchildren. I have good friends and neighbours. I see my siblings from time to time. I have a good relationship with God. I hope and pray that this book makes your life easier."
Not Just Yet
by Eileen Gleeson Peters
Not Just Yet by Eileen Gleeson Peters is a self-help book that is filled with tools, practices and strategies to achieve and maintain wellness. It is a book, she says, that came from an idea, a thought. "One thought borrowed another and then another. I had the thought: the idea that I could heal fears, phobias and addictions over 20 years ago and this is the road that it has brought me down."
