Biography

Hi, I am Jasper Wright and I was born in the sleepy town of Mbale, on the slopes of Mt. Elgon in Uganda from a humble background and spent 13 years working in the private sector and the next 18 in the public service before opting for early retirement in June 2019 to pursue my passions. I am completing my second short read to be published soon. Free-spirited, I never found much comfort as an employee. Enthusiastic about the environment, I founded Mbale Transformation Initiatives (2018), an organization that works to improve the livelihoods of marginalized communities while conserving the environment, and Green Home Goodies (2020), an organization that advocates greening the planet one home at a time by moving from the use of toxic single-use plastics to reusable, durable, and biodegradable products. I love the internet, personal development, and teaching so I am still a Consultant with Uganda Management Institute. I have also been doing affiliate marketing since 2008. When I am not writing, I love playing chess, scrabble, or travelling. I am happily married with four beautiful children. I cherish freedom in every sense of the word and spend my time working toward achieving this freedom for many generations to come. If you are anything like me, I would love to connect with you.
