Biography

Grace Kagni writes Italian romance novels. She is inspired by events reported on the Italian news such as avalanches, earthquakes, floods, femicide, political scandals, and organized crime which she adds as scenes, creating conflict in her romance novels.

When did you first start writing?
I hated writing essays when I was in school and I only started to enjoy writing after I had children. It was life's experiences that gave me the inspiration to write and when I decided to write, I knew I needed to learn how to write, so I signed up for online courses with a writing school in the UK and followed the course modules until I felt confident enough to self-publish.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Knowing that it takes a lot of self-confidence sending a manuscript to traditional publishers when many repeatedly turn you down, I thought it would be a good idea to start with self-publishing ebooks and see what happens. It's all about trial and error and lots of research but after becoming more familiar with the way self-publishing works and the possibilities that it offers, I started with my first ebook and continued with other ebooks.
